The trh t-700 side table in its easy implicitness was designed by Trix and Robert Haussmann. Like many of their other pieces of furniture, the trh also cites an architectural use of shape. A version with blue synthetic resin top was produced for the Swiss-Air lounge in the 1960s. Today, it is showcased in the Zurich design museum.
Table and base frame are made from solid bentwood; the table is topped with linoleum or veneer. It's such a sturdy side table that you can also use it as a stool.

trix haussmann
Studied architecture at ETH Zurich, postgraduate studies at the Institut für Regional- und Landesplanung in Zurich. 1964, met Robert Haussmann in the planning team for the National Exhibition Expo. 1967, married and founded the joint "Allgemeine Entwurfsanstalt" for planning, interior architecture and product design. Designed lamps and furniture inspired by the concept of "Critical Mannerism". 1997–2000, lectured at the architecture faculty at ETH Zurich, specialising in interior finishing.
robert haussmann
Studied interior architecture at the School of Art and Design Zurich under Willy Guhl and Wilhelm Kienzle. Opened an interior architecture and product design office. 1955, co-founded the "swiss design" group. 1967, married Trix Högl, with whom he founded the "Allgemeine Entwurfsanstalt" for planning, interior architecture and product design. 1969–1972, taught the masterclass in interior architecture and product design at the School of Art and Design in Zurich. 1986, professor of architecture at the Stuttgart State Academy of Art and Design.
